Voltaren Emulgel is used to treat inflammation of the tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints as well as rheumatoid arthritis and an active peptic ulcer. It is also used for the treatment of mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the knees and fingers.
Diclofenac diethylamine gelling gel (Emulgel) is used to localise the areas where you need medicine to apply Voltaren Emulgel. Discontinue the use of Emulgel on your skin, as it can be absorbed into the areas where you need Voltaren Emulgel. The gelling gel can also be absorbed into your stinging or irritation area. Use the medicine directly inside your body.
For the better outcome your doctor tells you to have during your treatment, especially if you have pain, tenderness or swelling during sexual intercourse for example when having sexual intercourse.
If pregnant or breastfeeding you should always consult with your doctor before beginning treatment with Voltaren Emulgel.
Don't take this medicine if you are breastfeeding. It will not treat the breast cancer.

Some medicines can cause diclofenac to be absorbed into your stinging or irritation area, possibly causing skin redness or irritation.Trial information:The product has been updated. Stop using the medicine and tell your doctor immediately if you develop a prolonged or severe skin reaction after using it. This includes an erection lasting more than 4 hours (priapism). This can be caused by a substance called diclofenac, which can cause an erection in a small amount of time. The erection will not go away or be soon enough to stop the pain. It may need to be treated with another medicine to relieve the prolonged erection. Sometimes a permanent fix could be required.
